Adjustable glasses are currently in use worldwide - over 30,000 Adspecs alone have been distributed in the developing world by various programmes, including the US Military Humanitarian and Civic Assistance Program and NFED, an adult education programme of the Ghanaian government.

Several research studies have also used adjustable glasses to study and improve the process of self-refraction, including the Centre's own Child Self Refraction Study, currently underway in Boston and southern China.
